Abbas Kowsari

Born in 1969, Abbas Kowsari started his career as a journalist in 1994 and worked for a number of Persian language and English newspapers in Tehran. Over the years he has participated in several photo-journalistic exhibitions and won prizes, including the first prize in the 'Association of Iranian Photographer's Competition' in 1997. He has also worked with the AFP and other foreign news agencies.

He captures the less obvious happenings in the world around him, and makes them captivating by his humour.

I have been working as a freelance photographer since April of the year 2002

This is the time during which I provided various Iranian and foreign magazines and newspapers and books with my photo essays and reports. I have also had the opportunity to do a few projects for UNICEF through my photos from Afghan children in the refugee camps and the homeless children from the earthquake 2002 in the Qazvin area in the north of Iran.

Zohreh Soleimani

I have been working as a freelance photographer since April of the year 2002

This is the time during which I provided various Iranian and foreign magazines and newspapers and books with my photo essays and reports. These publications include among others Le figaro, Marie claire,SZ Magazine, Stern, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune,Telerama, Fortune, Web Magazine, L'humanite, Elle, Welt am Sonntag, Cicero, Jane Magazine, TAZ, Cover of the book of Lili Grober (Her Iran book)

Presently, I am working with the Dutch Hoogte agency and with Webistan Photo Agency in Paris.

I have also had the opportunity to do a few projects for UNICEF through my photos from Afghan children in the refugee camps and the homeless children from the earthquake 2002 in the Qazvin area in the north of Iran.

In September 2004 I realized a project about Afghani refugees returning to their homeland from Iran for UNHCR.

Morteza Nikoubazl was born in Tehran in 1974 and studied art and photography there. Nikoubazl started work as a freelance photographer for Iranian daily and weekly newspapers then moved to the United Arab Emirates newspaper Gulf News. In 1999 he began working with the Reuters team as a stringer and now works exclusively with Reuters Tehran team.

Most important assignments: Earthquake in Bam, south-eastern Iran 2003-2004. Earthquake in Khorramabad province, south of Iran 2005. LebanonÕs Hizbollah-Israel conflict 2006.

Abbas Kowsari

Born in 1969, Abbas Kowsari started his career as a journalist in 1994 and worked for a number of Persian language and English newspapers in Tehran.
